Thanks to my friend Denise for showing me the missing link to the making hazelnut milk.
I had been wanting to make my nut milk tastier but no amount of sugar and salt combi could do it. Perhaps I needed the freshest hazel nut but it’s just impossible to find them. The secret is toast the nuts. Yes, that’s how simple it is.
5-step hazelnut milk recipe
1 Cup hazelnut
pinch of salt
Sweeter of choice (optional).
- Lightly toast the hazelnuts.
- Put them in the blender and cover with enough water.
- Blend until it becomes a puree.
- Add the remaining water.
- Strain in a sieve covered with cheesecloth.
