5-Step hazelnut milk recipe

Thanks to my friend Denise for showing me the missing link to the making hazelnut milk.

I had been wanting to make my nut milk tastier but no amount of sugar and salt combi could do it. Perhaps I needed the freshest hazel nut but it’s just impossible to find them. The secret is toast the nuts. Yes, that’s how simple it is.

5-step hazelnut milk recipe

1 Cup hazelnut

750mL water

pinch of salt

Sweeter of choice (optional).


  1. Lightly toast the hazelnuts.
  2. Put them in the blender and cover with enough water.
  3. Blend until it becomes a puree.
  4. Add the remaining water.
  5. Strain in a sieve covered with cheesecloth.


If you want to make a cake with the pulp then don’t squeeze it. Follow the almond pulp cake recipe.
