Have you ever got the chain email about the benefits of 2 glasses of warm water? It claims that it can cure a whole lot of diseases. I have yet to find proofs of those claims but I think I have got a thing or two of its effectiveness. You see I have an on and off relationship with constipation and bloated-ness which are made more frequent by my present condition.
I started taking in more of my tissue salt tablets but wasn’t getting completely relieved each time I get indigestion and constipated.
Then I remembered a health lecture video I watched recently about “The Forgotten Liquid Miracle” and how warm water aids digestion and regulates bowel movement.
I have tried the 2 glasses of warm water in the morning for many a times in the past and I can attest how effective it was. I wasn’t doing it religiously but only when I didn’t feel like going to the toilet in the morning. I stopped it when I started eating oranges first thing for breakfast. I thought that that water will get mixed up with the orange juice and it could cause acidic reaction in my very sensitive stomach.
After much deliberation with self, I realized that the water doesn’t stay in the stomach but it goes down to the bladder after about 20 minutes or so.
So a couple of weeks ago when I had a really bad constipation, I heated a large glass of water until it was warm enough (but not hot so as to burn my tongue) so when I drink it I could feel the warmth in my oesophagus. After about 5 minutes or so, the urge was too strong I had to rush to the toilet and boy was I so relieved! My stomach felt so light. I could breath very deeply as if a thorn has been removed from throat.
Now I have been doing it more regularly and noticed a tremendous improvement in my digestion and bowel movement. It’s good to empty your gut every morning to avoid toxins from building up in your system. I also read somewhere that the only liquid that can pass through your blood are water and alcohol. And since the blood is 3/5 water, wouldn’t it be good to replenish it with fresh water everyday?
If you would like to find out more about the many miracles water can do to your body, go ahead to the video link above. It only lasts 40 minutes but the information and insights you will pick up will be worth many years of a healthier, happier you.
So, this is my health tip for this week. It’s cheap and no side-effect at all. I hope you find it helpful.
